Looky What I Found: Fall Inspiration at Casabella's

Do you ever head to your favorite home stores for decorating inspiration?  Sometimes I like to just go browse around and see what sparks me.  Last week I stopped in at Casabella's here in Marietta to see what they had done to prepare for the season. This is a wonderful locally owned store with furniture, home and tabletop accessories, unique jewelry and gifts.

I almost missed the boat, but there were some wonderful fall vignettes scattered through out the store.

Love the burlap and berry garland in this display... and the finish on the chest? Adore.

I'm all about the white pumpkins and those stems are fabulous!

Fall colors, rustic textures, punctuated by more lucious white pumpkins... don't get me started on that console table. :)

Faux pumpkins in tons of sizes, shapes, and colors!  I'm loving the buckets, too.

Lots of artichokes, berries, twigs, and gourds-- love fall decorating!  And check out that sweet little owl on the top shelf.  Can't believe I left him behind. :(
And do you see the white there?  I'll explain in a sec...

Another little owl that was left behind-- think they're still there?  Evergreens in a planter with fall berries interspersed-- great idea! You can easily transition this to holiday.

And speaking of holiday... that white tree in the photo above?  Yep, it's a Christmas tree.  They had already started decorating the store for Christmas.  In September.  Don't worry, I'll keep those photos for a later date.  After all, I'm just now finding (and enjoying) my autumn "chi."

What stores and shops do you frequent for decorating ideas??  Do tell!

Looky What I Found!

Well, El Presidente is carting me off again for a weekend of deep sea fishing in the Gulf!  Of course, he's rushing me out the door, so I'm just sharing this quickie post with you. On a covert "pass thru" of my local HomeGoods, I spied these little Lovelies...

Have you seen these magazine baskets before??  I love that they're flexible and sturdy at the same time!  If I was organizing a playroom, child's bedroom, bathroom, family room, or mudroom, I would've snapped these up!  The smallest was only $5.99 and the largest was only $12.99.  So for under $40, you would have four awesome baskets.

You're welcome. :)

Hope I can share pics of some beautiful red snapper next week!  Have a great weekend, friends.

Looky What I Found {and a Sneak Peek :-)}

I'm late to party on the owl trend in decor.  I know it's been around a while, but in my latest Home Decorators Collection catalog, this little guy was beckoning...

Ceramic Owl Garden Stool

Isn't he the cutest??  Click HERE for this ceramic garden stool goody.

Kinda feeding into my current obsession with ceramic garden stools in general but that's fodder for another post!

Now, lucky you, get a SNEAK PEEK at something new from Willow House!  In our new fall catalog (out August 1), we are unveiling a new line of dinnerware and a new line of flatware....

What do you think??

I'm loving the cool mix and match colors of the dinnerware! It coordinates with our current Riverstone serving platters.

I'm seeing beautiful tablescapes in the future!

Coming up:
*Graduation party decorations
*A new I Can't Resist...
*Abstract Art

Looky What I Found: Scavenger Saturday

I should have been home doing... something productive. Like pulling together my Easter tablescape to share with y'all this week. But instead I had to pop over to Woodstock Antiques.  They were having an outdoor open market and many of their indoor vendors were offering discounts in their booths as well.  So I went to do a little... ahem... research.

Great day for shopping research.

I'm picturing this in a large open foyer, with a Swedish finish and fun graphic upholstry.

Pretty, but too steep for me!

Cute display in this French themed booth.

I could think of about 100 places for this little chippy bench.

Sorry for the blurry IPhone pic-- love these little pearl monogram ornaments AND how they're displayed.

Bundles of vintage postcards, letters, envelopes, and sheet music.

Love this idea-- one of those Reader's Digest collections covered with sheet music.

Extra large frame would be perfect on a gallery wall (I'd have to spray paint it, I think!).

Tastefully done booth-- lots of pretties and not too cluttered, plus I love the use of space by hanging the chair on the peg board.

Sweet little basket of antique books {you know how I love those!}.

Can you see the price on the chalkboard?  Can you say DIY??

Lots of shabby chic finds today-- cool use for a ceiling tin.

More books in excellent shape.

The magnifying glass is awesome, but I'm all about the ledger.

Loved the lines on this chair.

Another great DIY!

This booth was so interesting... everything painted gray or pewter and lots of silver and pewter pieces.

Even remnants of fabric. :)  Kicking myself for not picking up one of these.

What an awesome piece!

Are your wheels turning yet?

These came home with me. :)

One booth was all sports memorabilia.

Clever and pretty idea for displaying or storing your necklaces.

All in all a successful shopping research excursion.  So now you'll have to wait until tomorrow for my Easter tablescape.  :-)

Looky What I Found: Antique Books

I love it when I stumble on a true FIND and the price is right. Today, I popped over to my friend Tricia's blog Avolli, where she showcases Swedish antiques, furnishings and decorative pieces. She does a fabulous feature called her Product of the Day. Well today she had me at "hello!"

Look at these beauties for only $15 each:

They are leather bound and from the 1900's. Love the marbelized covers. You might remember seeing these that belonged to my grandmother on my mantle:

I can't wait to incorporate my new lovelies into my decor. I might have them on my coffee table under one of my silver pieces or propped up on my console table or book case.

Contact Tricia over at Avolli to order your own. You choose how many, she chooses which ones.

How do you decorate with books in your home?
